Since 1897, the Vintage Festival has brought the community together to celebrate the annual harvest season in Sonoma Valley. Our winemakers, grape growers, and community welcome you for a weekend honoring our regions rich winemaking legacy and agricultural heritage in the birthplace of California Wine.
Proceeds from the weekend benefit the Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Foundation.






SONOMA VALLEY HARVEST DINNER

Viansa Winery | 5:30 PM
The Harvest Wine Dinner at Viansa Winery is an exclusive event that brings together legendary and emerging winemakers of Sonoma Valley. Guests will begin the evening with wine tastings from renowned vineyards, accompanied by gourmet bites. The night continues with a 3-course dinner hosted by a leading figure in the wine industry, featuring rare library and current-release wines carefully paired to create an unforgettable culinary experience.

5K FUN RUN
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th
Sonoma Valley Plaza | 8:00 AM
The 5K Fun Run kicks off the Daytime Festival in Sonoma Valley. Participants will run or walk through scenic vineyards, tree-lined roads, and downtown Sonoma, enjoying the beauty of the harvest season. The race finishes at the Historic Sonoma Plaza, where the festivities continue with the Daytime Festival, a cherished community event open to all. Runners of all ages and skill levels—including families, groups, and even those with strollers—are welcome to join in this fun and active morning.

THE BLESSING OF THE GRAPES

Each year the festival is commemorated by the annual Blessing of the Grapes. The Blessing expresses an appreciation of the bountiful, fertile valley we live in and the abundant harvest of the grapes it provides.
This event is free and open to the public







HISTORIC SONOMA VALLEY GRAPE STOMP
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th
Sonoma Valley Plaza | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Toss off your shoes, roll up your pants and get ready for Sonoma Valley’s Historic Grape Stomp. Participate in this time-honored tradition and friendly competition. Don’t miss the celebrity stomp at 10:00 AM!

FIREFIGHTER WATER FIGHTS
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th

Teams of firefighters from various Sonoma County stations will face off, with a goal to push an empty beer barrel into the opposing team’s end zone using only the spray power of a fire hose.
This event is free and open to the public











DAYTIME FESTIVAL + LIVE MUSIC, ARTISAN FAIR, FOOD & WINE

Throughout the day visitors can enjoy local wine and beer by the glass and a variety of food vendors, while listening to live music on the Historic Sonoma Plaza. Sip Sonoma Valley wines or enjoy Sonoma Springs craft beer as you stroll the Artisans Festival and savor the day during the most anticipated season of the year. The Artisan Festival brings together local artists, and creators of all kinds.
This free festival is open to the public.

LIVE MUSIC
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th
Sonoma Valley Plaza | 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Enjoy a variety of Sonoma Valley Bands as you enjoy your Sonoma Valley food and wine in the Grinstead Ampitheatre in the middle of the town plaza. The day kicks off with Take Off at 11:30 am doing classic rock and ’90s rock classics. Next up is Groove Incident at 1:15 pm playing their own interpretations of dance and some funk, with the emphasis on “Groove”. Wrapping up the day is Loosely Covered at 3:00 pm, playing classic and Southern Rock and features Rachel Sierra on vocals laying down everything from Elle King to Aretha.
Music is free and open to the public.







SONOMA VALLEY GRAND TASTING

Join Sonoma Valley’s Vintners & Growers for an extravagant evening of wine tasting under the stars in the historic Sonoma Barracks. The Grand Tasting is your opportunity to experience Sonoma Valley’s incredible diversity of wines and growing regions. This walk-around regional tasting will feature an impressive collection of Sonoma Valley’s most interesting and impeccably selected wines from more than 50 wineries. Engage with winemakers and winegrowers, while you taste current vintages from each of Sonoma Valley’s 5 appellations and enjoy locally prepared cuisine from some of the Valley’s most notable chefs and artisans.
